Acquaculture

Adequate intake of polyunsaturated fatty acids is particularly important for the growth of deep-sea fish, especially when they are larve. Similar to humans, juveniles need to consume more DHA to allow their vision and nerve tissue to fully develop. [1]
Studies shown that after being fed with Schizochytrium algae powder, proportion of unsaturated fatty acids and Ω-3/Ω-6 in shrimp has increased. [2]
Substantial research proves that adding microalgae (Schizochytrium algae powder) to feed significantly increase Ω-3 (DHA) content in fish, shrimp and other aquatic products.
